Associated organizations work closely with Alias to support ZHAW students and implement joint events, projects and initiatives. These partnerships enable us to help shape a diverse and vibrant campus life.

Sustainability Week Zurich

The five Zurich universities ETH, UZH, ZHdK, ZHAW and PHZH are presenting Sustainability Week Zurich together with over 100 students. Anyone who goes to university should critically question the system, think about our society and be open to broadening their horizons.

Conecto ZHAW

Conecto ZHAW, formerly Absolvententag ZHAW, is the largest university of applied sciences contact fair in Switzerland and offers companies and students an excellent platform to get in touch with each other under the motto “Campus meets Business”.

ALUMNI ZHAW

Membership of ALUMNI ZHAW is free of charge for students. You benefit from all the same services as a paying member. Use the alumni network for internships and work.

Our recognized organizations

Recognized organizations are independent student groups that have been officially recognized by Alias. They enrich student life at the ZHAW through their activities and at the same time benefit from our support and networking.

OF@ZHAW

The OF@ZHAW deals with the area of conflict between military – studies – business. The association’s services are intended to enable members to exchange information and experiences, while also offering opportunities to all students who are expanding their military leadership training at the ZHAW.

AAZ

The AAZ is a student association whose members are interested in topics related to aviation. The association’s activities range from monthly regular evenings and get-togethers to fly-ins and visits to companies in the aviation industry. The only requirement for joining is a valid enrollment at a Zurich university.

Türmli Bar

Relaxed atmosphere, cool beer and unbeatable prices – the cellar of the Türmlihuus has served as a student bar for students from Winterthur, especially those from the Technikum, for a good 20 years.

The Türmli bar is open every Thursday and regularly hosts concerts and parties.

ZURICH UAS RACING

The ZURICH UAS RACING is the world’s largest competition for engineers, which is held annually at various locations around the world. More than 600 teams from different universities around the world now compete against each other in various disciplines with their self-constructed cars.

FHV Turania

The FHV Turania is a student fraternity in Winterthur. The common goal is to strengthen community awareness, promote social skills and form true life friendships among the members.

Velove

Velove offers ZHAW employees and students a range of bike-related services. Their do-it-yourself bike workshop is open to ZHAW students and employees. They also offer workshops, help with repairs and group rides.

NEO

The NEO is a “student think tank” set up as an association that is active in the university environment in Switzerland. It organizes keynotes, get-togethers, start-up pitches, panels, networking events, Neo Labs, panel discussions and much more.

ESN

Erasmus Student Network Winterthur is part of the largest student organization in Europe and aims to promote international student mobility. They enable ZHAW exchange students to spend an unforgettable semester abroad and organize lots of cool events.
