Associated organisations work closely with Alias to support ZHAW students and realise joint events, projects or initiatives. These partnerships enable us to help shape a diverse and vibrant campus life.

Sustainability Week Zurich

The five Zurich universities ETH, UZH, ZHdK, ZHAW and PHZH are organising Sustainability Week Zurich together with over 100 students. Anyone who goes to university should critically scrutinise the system, think about our society and be open to broadening their horizons.

Conecto ZHAW

Conecto ZHAW, formerly known as Absolvententag ZHAW, is the largest university of applied sciences contact fair in Switzerland and, true to the motto ‘Campus meets Business’, offers companies and students an excellent platform for making contact with each other.

ALUMNI ZHAW

Membership of ALUMNI ZHAW is free of charge for students. You benefit from all the same services as a paying member. Use the alumni network for internships and work.

Our accredited organisations

Accredited organisations are independent student groups that have been officially recognised by Alias. They enrich student life at the ZHAW through their activities and at the same time benefit from our support and networking.

Theater 8

Theatre 8 offers ZHAW staff and students theatre-related activities with an annual production and various further education courses.

AAZ

The AAZ is a student association whose members are interested in aviation-related topics. The association’s activities range from monthly regular evenings and get-togethers to fly-ins and visits to companies in the aviation industry. The only requirement for membership is a valid enrolment at a Zurich university.

Shoqata Studenti Zurich

The Albanian Student Association is an organisation that brings Albanian culture, language, society and history closer to students in Zurich. The main aim of the association is to promote networking, cooperation and communication between its members.

OF@ZHAW

The OF@ZHAW deals with the area of conflict between military – studies – business. The association’s services are intended to enable members to exchange information and experiences and to offer opportunities to all students who are expanding their military leadership training at the ZHAW.

TaVS

The Tamil Students’ Association exists to bring together students with an interest in Tamil culture and community, to promote exchange between members and to support and implement projects for the development of the Tamil community.

Türmli Bar

Relaxed atmosphere, cold beer and unbeatable prices – for over 20 years, the basement of the Türmlihuus has served as a student bar for students from Winterthur, especially those from the Technikum.

The Türmli-Bar is open every Thursday and regularly organises concerts and parties.

Entrepreneur Club Winterthur

With a flair for start-ups, innovation and entrepreneurship, they bring like-minded people together for ideas and projects. The Entrepreneur Club Winterthur offers a platform for start-ups in the greater Winterthur region. Their event programme includes everything from the Startup Night to the Hackathon and monthly roundtables!

FHV Turania

The FHV Turania is a student fraternity in Winterthur. The common goal is to strengthen community awareness, promote social skills and form true friendships among the members.

Velove

Velove offers ZHAW employees and students a range of bike-related services. Their do-it-yourself bike workshop is open to ZHAW students and staff. They also offer workshops, help with repairs and group rides.

Science Slam

Science Slam is the new form of scientific communication. Scientists present their research to an audience in an entertaining and understandable way – in less than 10 minutes. The creativity of the so-called slammers is given free rein.

ZURICH UAS RACING

ZURICH UAS RACING is the world’s largest competition for engineers, which is held annually at various locations around the world. More than 600 teams from different universities around the world now compete against each other in various disciplines with their self-designed racing cars.

NEO

NEO is a ‘student think tank’ organised as an association that is active in the university environment in Switzerland. It organises keynotes, get-togethers, start-up pitches, panels, networking events, Neo Labs, panel discussions and much more.

ESN

Erasmus Student Network Winterthur is part of the largest student organisation in Europe and aims to promote international student mobility. They enable ZHAW exchange students to spend an unforgettable semester abroad and organise lots of cool events.
